FIELD: aircraft manufacture; construction of disk brakes of aircraft wheels. SUBSTANCE: friction unit of disk brake includes set of drive and driven friction disks arranged in alternating manner; each friction disk is made in form of flat steel ring with expansion through radial slots and projections over inner and outer peripheral contour. Friction sector linings are secured on either side of ring. Friction linings of drive disks are made from cermet material and those of driven disks are made from material possessing the properties similar to cast iron. To ensure flat contact between disks in braking, circular disks cut from steel sheets have thickness of 4.5 to 5 mm and expansion slots made by cutting and located between sector linings may have tear-shaped form. Slots in driven disks are open on side of outer peripheral contour of circular disk and slots in drive disks are open alternating on side of outer and inner peripheral contours of circular disk. EFFECT: improved service characteristics of disk brake due to enhanced reliability and durability. 3 dwg
