FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of synthesis of azodyes by coupling azo-component with diazo-component. Method involves the use of hydride σ-adduct of 1,3-dinitronaphthalene formed by interaction of 1,3-dinitronaphthalene with potassium tetra-hydridoborate at 0 C as an azo-component and phenyldiazonium tetrafluoroborate is used as diazo-component and coupling reaction is carried out at 0-5 C.
