FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying manometer cuff on the boundary between the middle and lower one-thirds of the femur after performing standard retrograde phlebography and determining the cases of subcutaneous femoral veins valves inconsistency with contrast reflux of the IV order. The cuff is inflated until main artery pulsation vanishes distal from the place the cuff is placed. Then, the contrast agent is administered for the second time into the common femoral vein to perform retrograde phlebography with Valsalva test carried out.
