SUBSTANCE: method involves applying pneumatic cuff, setting microconvection transducer above the incompetent valve, continuously varying cuff pressure, carrying out continuous ultrasonic scanning and drawing conclusions based on lacking blood reflux concerning correction device to be selected. The transducer is arranged above pneumatic cuff opening matching working transducer surface. Correction device diameter is selected so that is equal to measured maximum vein diameter.
EFFECT: high accuracy in determining maximum vein diameter and correction device diameter.
