VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR TIRES PUMPING-UP Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: valve assembly is intended for pumping-up of tires of one wheel axle. It has a hollow body with inlet hole, cover with outlet hole secured to the body by means of thread, valve with spring-loaded slide valve positioned in the body, and rod with pressure stop. The body has two cavities separated by central part which is provided with axial guide hole. Cover is installed on one of the body ends. In addition, valve assembly is fitted with the second valve. One valve is mounted in cover, and the second valve is positioned coaxially with the first one in the second outlet hole made on opposite end of the body. Rod is installed in guide hole. Channels are provided in rod which couple both cavities of the body with inlet hole. Rod ends carry pressure stops which may interact with slide valves of both valves. The proposed valve assembly allows simultaneous pumping-up of automobile tire tubes of one wheel axle or reducing of gauge pressure of pumped-up tires to optimal values.
