FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has housing communicating with main line and channels through which compressed air is supplied. Housing is connected with automatic sanding gear cut-in means including skid sensors and electric signals converters. Operating member is made in form of straight sand supply channel connected by upper neck with sand container. Channel is provided with pneumatic shutoff device. Channels is arranged inside pneumatic chambers. Upper chamber serves as housing of shutoff device, and lower chamber, being ejector terminates in branch pipe with deflector on lower end. Command unit is connected with operating member by electropneumatic valve. Command unit contains comparator and information units presenting operating and reference frequencies of signals from skid sensors. Sensors are made as combination of light radiation source and receiver which are installed at both sides of round disks. Disks are provided with ports on their surfaces and are made for synchronous rotation with wheelsets. EFFECT: improved reliability of sand supply with provision of accurate metering out of sand and adequate consumption of air and sand, prevention of sluggishness of system owing to instantaneous execution of commands by control system. 4 dwg
