FIELD: materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed gripping device has support, two rows of opposite-mounted pairs of outer and inner gripping bellcranks, 4 and 5, respectively, hinge-coupled with support, telescopic tie-rods 6 and hanger 7 for load-lifting mechanism. Rows of opposite-mounted pairs of gripping bellcranks are connected by two crossmembers. Ends of each crossmember are hinge-coupled with upper arms of outer or inner bellcranks and are movably connected by tracer slots with upper arms of inner or outer gripping bellcranks, respectively. Crossmembers are mounted for movement in cross plane on hanger of load-lifting mechanism and are connected by telescopic tie- rods. Handles 13 with tracer slots 14 are hinge-secured on some elements of crossmember, and pins are rigidly secured on outer elements, being arranged for movement in tracer slots of handles.
