FIELD: geophysics. SUBSTANCE: invention refers specifically to sources of seismic vibrations that are sunk into hole or any other working in geological medium. Proposed submersible source has radiator carrying blind pass composed of one or several sections connected in series. Each section includes springy hose capable of radial expansion with end nonexpandable parts. Inlet main line of radiator is linked to end part of line supplying energy carrying agent. Springy hose of each section of radiator is straddled by sectional casing having working and internal contact surfaces. Casing is made of two or more blocks capable of transverse movement relative to central axis of springy hose. Each block is fabricated in the form of sector of hollow circular cylinder or part of this sector, each of two longitudinal sides of which being limited by flat surface parallel to radial plane of specified sector corresponding to it. Thickness of casing across section between its working and internal contact surfaces amounts to not less than half-value of outer diameter of springy hose. Flat surfaces of longitudinal sides of block are equally distant from radial planes of mentioned sector corresponding to them and planes of longitudinal symmetry of working surface of block and its internal contact surface coincide. Blocks of each casing of radiator are coupled to end part of line supplying energy carrying agent by intermediate links with limitation of possibility of axial movement of blocks in direction opposite to specified end part. Relations between dimensions of blocks of casing, diameters of hole and springy hose are provided. EFFECT: raised seismic efficiency. 5 cl, 8 dwg
