FIELD: digital information and measurement equipment, automated systems collecting geophysical information. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to such equipment as multichannel digital telemetering seismic recording systems processing seismic profiles by various methods of seismic prospecting. System of distributed collection of data comprises group of self-sufficient identical recording units with geophones connected to their inputs, central controlling vehicle-born complex and information telemetering communication lines interconnecting recording units and connecting recording units to vehicle-borne recording units incorporated in mix of central controlling vehicle-born complex. Information telemetering communication lines are divided into self-sufficient sections interconnecting adjacent recording units through device dividing data flow which ensures during single interval of digitization of data collection exchange in intermediate data frames between each recording unit and two adjacent recording units, intermediate data frames being formed by them in previous digitization interval and carrying intermediate test code. In order to determine serviceability of information telemetering communication lines central controlling vehicle-born complex computes during one digitization interval test code for resulting data frame and compares it with final test code. If codes do not match then complex indicates presence of faults in information telemetering communication lines. Recording units secure controlled commutation that divides data flows in sections of information telemetering communication lines between adjacent recording units.
