FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing triple action of liquid medium upon hard licorice seeds; gaging by size (diameter); treating licorice seeds with concentrated hydrochloric acid for 8-15 min; washing seeds with running water for half an hour; placing seeds in growth promoting solution, such as decoction of seeds of legume crops (lucerne and/or clover) and holding in solution for 8-6 h at temperature of +20 - +30 C. Solution concentration is 100-200 g of seeds per 1 l of boiled water. Method is used for creating long-time licorice plantations on structureless and unproductive irrigated lands. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved productivity of artificial licorice plantations.
