FIELD: working of alluvial deposits formed by materials with magnetic properties. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for cutting magnetic fraction includes carrying frame provided with unit for embedding into alluvial deposit, vibrator and several magnetic trapping members whose length is significantly more than their cross sizes. Magnetic trapping members are in the form of variable-profile rods of magnetized material and they are distributed along area of common carrying frame. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cutting magnetic fraction, possibly in large alluvial deposits by means of simplified design apparatus. 5 cl, 1 dwg
