FIELD: development of shelf deposits or in rivers beds shelf placers. SUBSTANCE: benefication block is mounted stationary on bottom in zone of high and low tide excitement and / or current. In the case material of placer is put into cavity of benefication block and removed from it through holes in benefication block body. Relocation of placer material is exercised in suspended in water state using for this purpose power of water masses. Sluices mounted with longitudinal axis set along main water masses movement direction are use as benefication block. Apparatus has benefication block with tubular body and working cavity opened on both ends and sluices located inside the cavity. Anchors provide positioning of benefication block in working position in respect to placer. EFFECT: increased effectiveness of underwater placers development. 8 cl, 4 dwg
