FIELD: devices for satisfying needs of human beings, namely, safety razors. SUBSTANCE: blade unit for safety razor has shape and sizes optimally selected for shaving human body, especially armpit zone. Blade unit includes elongated blade with straight sharpened edge and surface contacting with skin whose length value consists 1-4 of its width and is no more than 60 mm, preferably 40-45 mm. Skin contacting surface has bearing area equal at least to 450 square mm, preferably 600-750 square mm and roundness that is no less than lower roundness and rectangular roundness with the same length and width as that of skin-contacting surface and with angular radius values consisting 30% of width. Preferable shape is rectangle with semicircular edges. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and comfort of shaving process due to additional stability of shaver. 15 cl, 16 dwg
