FIELD: domestic appliances, such as shaver units. SUBSTANCE: blade unit of shaver is secured to handle by means of hinge joint. Blade unit includes body housing three blades with front edges, protective member, cover unit and rounded supporting surfaces arranged under portion designed for securing blades jointly connected with handle. Axis of joint assembly of blade unit is arranged in zone defined by imaginary boundary passing from first front edge to second front edge if both edges are unloaded; passing upwards and backwards from second front edge until zone slightly over upper surface of body in point before third front edge; passing along and slightly over upper surface of body to point before first front edge; passing downwards and forwards to point in range of protective portion lower and before relative to first front edge; passing from said point in range of protective portion upwards and backwards to first front edge. Axis of joint assembly is arranged mainly near front edge of second blade. In preferable variants of invention blades are mounted elastically and at least front edges of two blades are sharpened for forming cutting edges. In body there is cam surface engaging with spring-loaded pusher on handle of shaver. Cam surface has such contour that in any position, except mean position between limiters of forward and backward motion along circle arc, blades are inoperative. EFFECT: improved design allowing to enhance quality of shaving. 46 cl, 10 dwg
