FIELD: storage and transportation of food products. SUBSTANCE: jar is polyethylene terephthalate blow-moulded container. Neck of jar has L-shaped belt for free fitting of C-shaped edge of metal cover with provision, owing to their plasticity, of combined bending and forming of multiple-layer sealed pack. Method provides blowing of blank into mould of preset shape to form blank whose lower part has preset form of jar. Prior to cutting off upper part of blank, centering calibrating head is driven into jar neck, and top of article is fixed relative to cutting tool. EFFECT: reduced cost of jar, improved mechanical strength and reliability of storage and transportation. 6 cl, 11 dwg
