FIELD: construction engineering; frameless glazing facilities. SUBSTANCE: hollow packing member has side, external, and internal spacing walls made of fiber glass incorporating material. The latter is based on glass fiber mats with longitudinally oriented rovings and polymeric binder. Surface density of glass fiber mats is 100-400 g/m2. Rovings are uniformly distributed along profile perimeter. Ratio of glass fiber mats and rovings to polymeric binder is from 1:0.5 to 1:0.75. According to first alternative tubular rod of member is made of two linear channel sections joined through overlapping ledges to form side walls of rod, and through ribs to form external and internal spacer walls. According to second alternative member is made of two linear channel sections with corrugations. EFFECT: improved quality and reduced manufacturing cost of member. 4 cl, 9 dwg
