FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to binder for fiber-glass material based on polyester resin used for making thin-wall window frame. Proposed binder comprises polyester resin based on isophthalic acid, filler - a fire retardant in the form of nanopowder based on aragonite sand with crystal size of 30-100 nm, hardening accelerator, hardening initiator and inhibitor. Said filler is modified by mechanical surface activation with further processing by organotitanates. The latter are used in amount of 0.004-4.0 wt %.
EFFECT: better physical and mechanical properties, particularly impact and fire resistance.
