FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: metal frame support includes capping, props and units for their connection to one another. Each connection unit is made in the form of base with fixed pinching of capping end. Base is formed of rest made in the form of metal rod length installed in borehole in mine working roof through hole in end part of capping and upper ends of prop. Capping whose edge parts subjected to maximum bending moments has variable cross-section furnished with reinforcing members. EFFECT: extended field of application of frame support due to its use in mine workings with large width of span with reduced metal content and labor intensity of driving operations. 3 dwg, 1 tbl
