FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves investigating two-dimensional equivalents of distraction regenerate produced during the process of treatment for stretching extremity by applying perosseous osteosynthesis apparatus. Computer tomograms and overview X-ray pictures are applied as two-dimensional equivalents of distraction regenerate. Zones are detected that contain structures characteristic of osteogenesis stages. Areas of each zone detected and areas of regenerate zones and diastases between the end portions of bone fragments are measured. Their relationships are used for making stereological evaluation of distraction osteogenesis. When performing computer tomography examination, radiopaque units for connecting supporting members are substituted with X-ray-transparent ones. EFFECT: enabled three-dimensional analysis of distraction regenerate structure; detailed description distraction osteogenesis process in time and space. 8 cl, 9 dwg
