FIELD: separation of solid granular materials in size in, liquid medium; mining, chemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in washing-out zone of interaction of vertical ascending flow of clean water with hydraulic mixture by horizontal jets of transversal flow of clean water at pressure gradient exceeding the pressure of ascending flow. Device proposed for realization of this method has housing with receiving and separating and classifying chambers, branch pipes for introducing the starting hydraulic mixture and discharge of coarse and fine fractions and clean water supply branch pipe which is connected with torque converter. Receiving and separating chamber formed by perforated shell is located in housing forming the cavity connected with torque converter by means of additional clean water supply branch pipe. EFFECT: increased productivity; improved quality of finished product.
