FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: binding agent in the form of aqueous copolymer dispersion or powder of copolymers with crystallization temperatures between -60 and +60 C is prepared via emulsion radical polymerization in presence of one or more emulsifiers of (i) one or more monomers selected from vinyl esters of linear or branched C1-C12-carboxylic acids, acrylic or methacrylic acid esters with linear or branched C1-C12 alcohols, vinylaromatic compounds, vinyl halides, and alpha-olefins, and (ii) 0.001 to 10% (based on the total weight of polymer) of one or more monomers selected from N-(C1-C6-alkoxymethyl)acrylamides and N-(C1-C6- alkoxymethyl)methacrylamides or of one or more monomers selected from N- methylol-acrylamide and N-methylol-methacrylamide, or of mixture of alkoxymethyl and methylol derivatives in presence of 0.001 to 10 wt % of one or more emulsifiers selected from diesters of sulfosuccinic acid with linear or branched cycloaliphatic C4-C13-alcohols. The latter are either added directly during polymerization process or into aqueous polymer dispersion after polymerization is over. Binding agent is applied onto spread out fibrous material in amounts 5 to 50% (of the weight of fibers) and dried at 80 to 260 C. EFFECT: increased solvent resistance. 4 cl, 1 tbl, 10 ex
