FIELD: wind-power engineering; carrousel-type windmills with rotary plates. SUBSTANCE: proposed carrousel windmill has vertical shaft and radial blades, each made in form of frame secured on shaft and coated with polymeric composite material. Frame is provided with cells and parallel plates installed for turning in frame skeleton. Plates are made of polymeric composite material with orientated fibers. Each plate is secured in cell by its upper side. Edge of plate nearest to shaft is bent through acute angle from plane of plate to form constricting seminozzle with bent-off remote edge. According to invention, screw grooves are made on inner surface of seminozzle. Screw grooves are laid longitudinal from inlet to outlet holes of seminozzle. Invention provides effective operation of windmill at variable load by creating addition wind velocity head providing reduction of hydraulic resistance to rotation of blades.
