FIELD: wind-power engineering; heating windmills producing permanent upflow air streams and wind loads for energy generation. SUBSTANCE: windmill has tower installed on roof of garret-incorporating building and made in the from of vertical contraction with inlet channels fitted with control valves; windwheel coaxially coupled with generator by means of vertical shaft installed inside drift tube; deflector with windows and wind vane kinematically coupled with control doors and window-mounted guarding screens; novelty is introduction of curvilinear surfaces with guides and swirling ribs joining contraction with draft tube. Outer surface of contraction is covered with shielding film and its inner surface bears curvilinear grooves vertically disposed between large inlet hole of contraction and its small hole. Proposed design provides for eliminating stagnation of upflow air streams due to generation of additional air draft in draft tube when vacuum is built up at its upper opening.
