FIELD: plasma engineering. SUBSTANCE: converter designed for energy accumulation in plasma environment followed by its transfer and application has chamber, two infrared radiators whose radiating surfaces are facing each other with X-ray radiators mounted in their center, gas nozzles arranged around infrared radiators over their perimeter, energy collectors, and microwave electromagnetic-field oscillator connected to horns of multiple-horn antenna mounted around X-ray radiators. Magnetization fluctuations and dielectric polarization encouraging reflection of particle currents inside spherical pinch take place in toroidal magnetic formations appearing around pinch. Power unit incorporating all these provisions is noted for small size, reduced space requirement, and high energy accumulation capacity. EFFECT: improved operational safety of both power unit and vehicle. 2 dwg
