FIELD: devices for visual-shadow gamma and roentgen introscopy in industry and medicine. SUBSTANCE: device has magnetoacoustic modulator made in the form of conical crystal tube with external winding connected to high-frequency oscillator. Modulator is disposed on same axis as radiation source so that greater diameter of cone faces radiation source and smaller one, object being irradiated. Passing ray through modulator causes radiation diffraction. AC voltage applied to external winding produces such effect on tube crystals that base increases or decreases obeying predetermined time law. It is lengthwise variation in cone diameter with diameter of turns that dictates constant slip angle conditions over tube section thereby ensuring complete reflection of X- and gamma- radiation. For the purpose use may be made of low-power radiation sources and narrow rays can be obtained. EFFECT: reduced dose rate suffered by patient. 1 dwg
