FIELD: apiculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing matrix of thermocouple sensors on each honeycomb frame, with thermocouple sensors being made in the form of wires perpendicularly positioned one on the other and welded at intersection points so as to define nodes which generate thermal electromotive forces of different value upon heating; measuring total thermal electromotive force for group of sensors and in each node of thermocouple grid; finding out thermal field zones on each honeycomb frame or in whole housing on the basis of temperature indications of all matrix nodes; taking into account mathematic dependence between thermal electromotive force of cold and heated thermojunction (node) and drawing calibration table of conformity between temperature and thermal electromotive force at this point; scanning thermal electromotive force and determining temperature at this point by table. Method allows state of bee clusters and accumulation of bee brood on each honeycomb frame to be controlled during wintering without direct interference of bee keeper in bee family. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified method. 3 cl, 5 dwg, 2 tbl
