FIELD: stands for rolling short bodies of revolution such as spheres. SUBSTANCE: working stand of mill for helical rolling of short bodies of revolution includes housing with cover, drum with rolling rolls, lower guard, drum-type holder of upper guard with diametrically arranged protrusions, unit for imparting reciprocation motion to guard holder. The last has balancing mechanism in the form of tie rods spring-loaded relative to cover. In protrusions of guard holder there are through openings parallel to vertical axis of holder and designed for passing tie rods and threaded openings normal relative to vertical axis and designed for arranging screws with spherical end engaging by means of foots with cover. Heads of tie rods engage with protrusions of guard holder through spherical washers. EFFECT: enhanced quality of rolled short bodies of revolution due to possibility of accurate tuning of upper guard position. 4 dwg
