FIELD: powder metallurgy, particularly, devices for production of high-density materials based on refractory compounds formed in conduction of exothermic reactions. SUBSTANCE: device has punch and closed die formed by base, intermediate ring with initiating device and guide bushing and filled with loose heat-insulating shell accommodating charge blank. Upper and lower spaces of shell are made in the form of alternating layers of loose heat material and thin rigid plates. EFFECT: preserved high temperature and deformation ability of combustion products for prolonged time, and uniform settling of blank with nonuniform distribution of temperature and properties in body of compacted material. 1 dwg
