SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of synthesis of 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoro-propane involving hydrofluorination of hexafluoropropylene with hydrogen fluoride at enhanced temperature in the presence of catalyst and isolation of the end compound by the known procedures. Hydrofluorination process is carried out under adiabatic conditions and activated carbon with ash content 10 wt.-%, not less, is used as catalyst.
