FIELD: preparation of lubricating materials, hydraulic liquids and other valuable organofluorine products. SUBSTANCE: method comprises reacting hexafluoropropylene with molecular oxygen in the presence of activated carbon promote by alkali metal fluoride when content of the latter in catalyst varies from 5 to 60 wt %, and process is carried out at temperatures from 50 to 300 C. Method allows for substituting expensive catalysts in preparing the desired product with yield of 54.7-62.8%. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 1 tbl
