POLYRIBONUCLEOTIDE DUPLEX BASED ON POLYRIBOADENYLATE AND POLYRIBOURIDYLATE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: biochemistry, nucleic acids. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing biologically active substances showing an antiviral effect. Invention describes polyribonucleotide complex based on polyriboadenylate and polyribouridylate containing bivalent platinum compounds as cis-diamminedichloroplatinum or cis-dihydroxylamminedichloro-platinum (II) and complex of polyribonucleotide duplex has formula: [poly (A) poly (Y)]_m·[Pt(II)X₂]_n where Pt (II) X₂ or cis-dihydroxylamminedichloro-platinum (II); X means NH₂OCl and m : n = 1 : (0.02 ± 0.20). Compound provides the enhancement of antiviral and interferon-inducing activity, it does not show toxicity but has high stability and can be used in clinics.
