FIELD: protection of outer surfaces from effects of aggressive media in various industries. SUBSTANCE: paintwork coating is prepared by dissolving colored polystyrene filled with 20-40% of pigment and colorants first with, 55-60% till homogeneous paste is formed, and remaining 10-18% of solution and 5-7% of plasticizer are then added and stirred to viscosity of 80-120 s. Prior to applying coating onto surface by mechanical means it is diluted to viscosity of 20-40 s. Dilution is carried out using one of solvents irrespective of the one used earlier. Invention makes it possible to form filaments, reduce consumption of composition, improve external appearance of coating, cut down consumption of pigments and colorants.
