FIELD: compressor engineering. SUBSTANCE: flat gate 3 of plate-type suction valve 1 is driven by electromagnet 9 positioned in catcher 6. Electromagnet 9 is controlled so that in the first phase 11a of control flat gate 3 is fitted tightly to catcher 6 or to damping plate 4 located between gate 3 and catcher and is interlocked. In the second phase 11b of control electromagnet net 9 is controlled by means of decaying alternating current. In this case, gate 3 is demagnetized at least partially and separated. Suction valve 1 has seat 2 and flat gate 3 with springs 5. Gate 3 and seat 2 are adjacent to each other directly. Suction valve 1 also includes device actuating flat gate 3. The device includes catcher 6 and electronic control device 8. Catcher 6 is formed by circular body 6a. Circular groove 6b accommodating magnetic coil 9 and passing in direction of circumference is provided in circular body 6a. The latter forms magnetic yoke 6c of electromagnet. Magnetic coil 9 is connected to control device 8 for attraction of gate 3 which serves as electromagnet armature. Piston compressor may include one of said devices or may be used in the way described. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of control, safety in operation. 15 cl, 9 dwg
