FIELD: sanitary and hygienic articles. SUBSTANCE: toothbrush handle has head adapted for carrying or retaining bristles. Handle has end portion, narrow mid portion, wide mid portion and narrow upper portion which joins wide mid portion to head. Ratio of maximum width of end portion at top view to maximum width of wide mid portion at top view is 1.2:1-1.5:1. End portion has larger thickness at side view as compared to wide mid portion. Ratio of maximum thickness of end portion at side view to maximum thickness of wide mid portion at side view is 1.1:1 - 1.7:1. End portion of handle is formed rounded. Bristle carrying part of handle is configured so that bristle ends coming into contact with teeth are beyond plane extending in parallel with handle head surface into which bristles are embedded, when toothbrush is viewed from side. Ratio of length of curved line defined by bristles of convex group of bristles to length of curved line defined by bristles of concave group of bristles is 1:1 - 2:1. Curved line is discontinuous. Bristle bundles at each end of concave group of bristles extend further from brush head surface with embedded bristles than adjacent bristle bundles in adjacent convex group of bristles. Bristle bundles at one end of concave group of bundles extend to the same level as the longest bristle bundles of adjacent convex group of bristles, and bundles at other end of concave group of bristles extend to the same level as the longest bundles of adjacent convex group of bundles. Ends of bristles coming into contact with teeth transverse to head portion extend to uniform length from surface of brush head with embedded bristles. EFFECT: increased efficiency by improved configuration of toothbrush providing easy handling and configuration of bristle zone providing improved tooth brushing due to easy access to teeth and gums. 5 cl, 39 dwg
