FIELD: personal hygienic articles. SUBSTANCE: toothbrush has handle and pivotally connected head with two portions having upper and lower surfaces. Both portions have longitudinally spaced apart ends faced one toward the other. These ends are connected by thin web made integral with these portions. Each portion of head has plurality of bristle bundles projecting perpendicular to its bottom surface, and elastomeric portion. One of head portions is axially aligned with handle and other portion is positioned at an angle to handle so that both portions of head are arranged at an angle one with respect to the other to apply soft force to gums. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased cleaning effect without injuring gum surface. 13 cl, 8 dwg
