FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of mixes by centrifugal forces and may be used in oil, gas and chemical industries, etc. Auger centrifuge comprises housing accommodating tapered cylinder rotor, solid fraction discharge openings, auger with cover made up of section attached to said housing and hollow thrust part, feed pipe and system to discharge heavy and light liquid fractions. It comprises also chambers with pressure discs arranged in said tapered cylinder rotor. Auger cover hollow thrust part houses thrust O-ring and has annular groove with channels. Fixed pressure disc post is provided with thrust O-ring fitted in cartridge to displace axially. Cartridge outer surface represents multistart thread. Both O-rings are displaced from inner cylindrical surface of cover hollow section. Inner surfaces of said rings feature inclination toward contact surface. Two seal elements are fitted in rotor cover, level with groove, to make a chamber, and two drain holes are made therein to communicate said chamber with out-of-rotor space.
EFFECT: higher reliability, expanded operating performances.
