FIELD: railway traction systems. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to traction system of railway vehicles furnished with induction drive and can be used in other branches of industry where combined operation of several variable-frequency induction motors to supply common load is required. Proposed group power supply system is formed by connecting three-phase booster transformer to output three-phase inverter and connecting motors to different non-regulated taps of its secondary windings. Use of this system provides uniform load of all traction motors running at equal torques over entire common load control range at minimum number of used power converting devices.
