FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: version one of the traction motor is made of N alternating current input converters, each consisting of a four-quadrant converter, half-bridge converter, two traction high-frequency transformers, and four-quadrant converter connected in tandem. Primary transformer windings are connected in parallel and placed across a diagonally opposite pair of terminals in the half-bridge converter. Secondary transformer windings are connected in series and placed across a diagonally opposite pair of terminals in the four-quadrant converter. The current switch is made so that each pair of terminals can be switched alternately. In version two of the traction motor, each of N alternating current converters consists of a two-quadrant converter, half-bridge converter, one or two traction high-frequency transformers with their secondary windings connected in series, and bridge diode rectifier. In version three of the traction motor, the input converter consists of a four-quadrant converter, half-bridge converter, one high-frequency transformer, and output four-quadrant converter.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and dimensions; can be powered from a direct current contact system and from two alternating current systems.
