SHORT LIFT VALVE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: valve is designed for coupling to pipeline with minimum losses of carrying capacity. Lift valve has body with ends positioned in parallel to each other for tight fitting to sealing surfaces of pipeline and/or installation members. Valve screw coupled to cut-off member and capable of interaction with valve seat is mounted in neck of body perpendicularly to pipeline axis. Body ends are component part of body surrounding cut-off member and its lifting zone. Valve seat is installed diagonally to valve screw. Valve seat is positioned along diagonal line connecting body ends. Distance between ends of body exceeds length of cut-off member projected on pipeline axis. Value of lift-valve mounting length determined by distance between body ends is within the limits of value of lift-valve nominal internal diameter due to respective combination of body-wall thickness, valve-seat length and value of transition from valve seat to body.
