FIELD: optical circuits for damping optical noise. SUBSTANCE: optical telecommunication system has at least two sources of optical signals modulated at equal wavelengths and having respective coherence times, multiplexer that functions to multiplex signals into common optical fiber, fiber-optic line connected on one end to common optical fiber of multiplexer, signal receiver, and signal-to-signal four-wave displacement damping member (PaM) optically coupled in series along fiber-optic line. Damping member PwM uses optical circuit incorporating at least two selective filters each tuned to wavelength range including one of optical signals. Filters are optically interconnected in series through optical channel. Length of at least one section of optical channel between two adjacent filters is greater than that corresponding to coherence time of at least one optical signal source. EFFECT: reduced radiation power caused by four-wave displacement. 19 cl, 10 dwg
