FIELD: grinding equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing energy-carrier flow into grinding chamber; feeding basic material so that it is drawn into vortex flow and discharged together with energy carrier, with high-speed vortex with preferably spiral flux lines being generated within grinding cavity. Spiral flux lines are initiated at tore axis and terminated at its axial circle. Apparatus has housing with outer devices for feeding basic material so as to form high-speed vortex. Grinding chamber is defined by two toroidal surfaces having common center and axis. Outer toroidal surface has radius of toroidal circle approximately equal to that of axial circle of tore. Nozzle mounted in front of housing axial opening has inner toroidal surface with through intaking openings communicated with discharge branch pipes. Method and apparatus are preferably used for fine grinding of polydispersion materials. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced wear of grinding chamber walls and improved quality of ground material. 14 cl, 2 dwg
