FIELD: cleaning of industrial sewage from nonferrous metal ions. SUBSTANCE: method involves electrochemical treatment of water in electroplating coagulation mode; providing continuous mixing and supplying of air in the presence of coke-ferromanganese galvanic pair in the ratio of 1:3; pretreating water with sulfur-containing materials, such as pirite or sulfur with concentration of 0.5-14 g/l for removing copper, arsenic and reducing chromium (VI) to chromium (III) state. Apparatus has device filled with galvanic mass and provided with branch pipes for supplying sewage adapted for cleaning and air and for discharge of used water, and mixing device. Apparatus is further equipped with precleaning chamber filled with sulfur-containing materials. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of cleaned sewage water. 4 cl, 4 dwg
