FIELD: treatment of sewage; cleaning chromium-containing sewage in circulating water supply systems; cleaning oil-containing and arsenic-containing water in metallurgy, mining, chemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes reservoir filled with galvanic couple and provided with starting water supply branch pipe and treated water discharge branch pipe. Device is made in form of two chambers separated by partitions of different height, thus forming inter-chamber space. Upper part of each chamber has rectangular section and lower part is taper in shape. Each chamber is provided with distributing grates, foam removal unit, diaphragm with drive for horizontal reciprocating motion, pneumatic pulsating dispersers and compressed air supply branch pipe. Dispersers mounted under distributing grate are made in form of cylinders which are closed at the bottom and are open at the top with perforated plates inside them. Drum-type magnetic separator is arranged in inter-chamber space. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; low cost of process. 3 cl, 1 dwg
