FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: method comprises condensation of guanidine carbonate with hexamethylene diamine followed by treatment of polyhexamethylene guanidine with orthophosphoric acid. In order to improve technological grade of process and to increase yield of the desired product, stage of condensation of guanidine carbonate and hexamethylene guanidine is carried out at temperatures from 110 to 145 C in organic solvent which forms heteroazeotropic mixture with water till mixture of ammonium carbonate, hydrocarbonate and carbomate is not formed any longer, and treatment of phosphate of polyhexamethylene guanidine carbonate with orthophosphoric acid is carried out in water and remnants of organic solvent are removed by azeotropic distillation of the lather with water. In order to prepare solid product, remnanta of organic solvent are removed by azetropic distillation thereof with water followed by precipitation of polyhexamethylene guanidine phosphate from aqueous solution with acetone and subsequent drying thereof. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 3 cl, 1 tbl
