FIELD: radio electronics. SUBSTANCE: method involves measurement of electromagnetic radiation level at distance of 2-4 cm corresponding to location of user's head in nearest radiation zone of radio electronic facility; estimation of the degree of safety using relative characteristic of radio electronic facility (emissivity) Cref with respect to standard radiator which is determined by pre-calibrating electromagnetic radiation level of standard radiator in distant zone aimed at setting its standard radiated power; conduction of N measurements of standard levels of electromagnetic radiation in nearest zone of standard radiator (R) with antenna of electromagnetic radiation meter placed in different positions near standard radiator; statistical processing of N results obtained in R measurements including estimation of mean value, and root-mean-square deviation Rmean; calculation of RMSDref level and (R0,95)ref which should not exceed values given in formulas with 0.95 and Gref probability. EFFECT: facilitated procedure, improved efficiency, unambiguity, repeatability, and relative consistency of results. 2 dwg
