FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanisms used in vehicles, particularly, in trailer-trains with driving wheels of semitrailer set into operation by mechanical drive. Semitrailer wheel drive has two propeller shafts installed one after the other and coupled by pneumatic clutch. Propeller shafts are used to transmit torque from transfer case to driving wheels. Pneumatic clutch transmits torque adjustable in value which depends on pressure in pneumatic chamber. Torque is regulated by follow-up-action pneumatic valve controlled by driver. Maximum value of pressure is limited by electropneumatic valve operating at sufficient value of electric signal generated by torque transmitter installed on propeller shaft connecting clutch and driving wheels. EFFECT: reduced load on transmission, increased efficiency and improved cross-country capability of trailer- train. 2 dwg
