FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine has combustion chamber by parts with two-layer heat insulating coating. First layer of coating is made of multiphase crystal porous material. Second layer of coating pointed to combustion chamber is made in form of refractory solid film. First layer of coating, whose thickness is 0.1 - 0.3 mm, has hard inclusions of phase α-Al2O3, dispersed in matrix of phase γ-Al2O3 and compounds of mullite 3•Al2O3•2SiO2. Thickness of walls between adjacent pores in layer is equal to 0.18-0.22 of pore radius. Second layer of coating made in form of film has thickness of 2-20 mcm, blackness degree of material being not less than 0.8 within working temperature range. Method of manufacture of engine comes to the following: prior to assembling the engine, first layer of coating is applied to surfaces of engine parts forming combustion chamber, and then second layer is applied. First layer is applied by anode-cathode-microarc oxidation method, and second layer is applied by ion deposition method.
