FIELD: reduction of toxic components in exhaust gases of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: according to one version, ozone formed under action of ultra radiation at wave length of 185 nm is introduced into internal combustion engine intake for more complete reduction of fuel. According to another version, ozone is introduced into working gas flow, after which exhaust gases are treated in catalytic converter, thus additionally reducing toxic components as compared with catalytic converter if only this converter is used for treatment of exhaust gases. According to next version, method consists in introducing hydroxide into exhaust gas flow in upper flow of catalytic converter and treatment of exhaust gases by means of catalytic converter. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and reduced content of toxic agents. 53 cl, 13 dwg
