FIELD: food industry at storage of products. SUBSTANCE: products in the cold treatment chamber are subjected to action by nitrogen or air medium. Liquid nitrogen is fed from the vessel for its keeping just to the chamber. Gaseous nitrogen is fed to the chamber through the cooling device placed in the chamber for production operations. The treated gaseous nitrogen is fed again to the chamber for production operations, preliminarily adding with gaseous nitrogen from the vessel for its keeping. Cold air is fed to the cold treatment chamber and exhausted from it through special ducts. The plant has liquid and gaseous nitrogen and cold air feed control systems. EFFECT: enhanced degree of use of the low-temperature potential of gaseous nitrogen, reduced operating expenditures connected with consumption of nitrogen due to periodic treatment of food by cold air. 2 cl, 1 dwg
