FIELD: roentgen engineering for medical and engineering applications. SUBSTANCE: placed in near-surface layer of anode focal track, 1.5-4 mcm thick, is doping element Re in amount sufficient to form anode layer, 70 mcm thick, in boundary sections of grains and inter-grain boundaries with mean concentration of doping element being 20-30 mass percent, this procedure being followed by isometric firing of anode for 9-85 h at temperature lower than recrystallization point of its material. Proposed process provides for greater number of cycles needed to destroy anode and for reduced consumption of expensive doping element. EFFECT: extended service life and reduced cost of anode. 2 cl
